Are You Buying Air? You Shouldn't Be!

"I'm seeing other tallow companies say whipped tallow is selling air . . . thoughts?" 

We love this question!! In the skincare industry, many new tallow companies are selling their jars by volume size and not by net weight which is actually illegal. For instance, if you go another tallow companies' website, and they sell a whipped tallow, you'll probably find that the size they are selling is the jar size amount (i.e.. 4 oz jar instead of the net weight of the product inside)!

You might even see videos of companies piping their product and what you will often notice is that rarely are they being piped on a scale. You should not be buying air! But, for some companies that don't understand it's illegal in the skincare industry to sell by volume, you very well may be buying air! 

Semi-solids that are not liquids need to be sold by net weight. 

So, our large whip jars are 6oz of product in 16oz jars. You're not buying 16oz of product and we don't suggest that you are. You are buying 6oz of product and you should know that before you shop! 

These companies that are saying whipped tallow is a "scam" are being inflammatory by making blanket statements like that.

But the real problem is companies selling you volume on something that legally must be measured as net weight.
